Their stand will showcase the fascinating history of the marque, from its origins as a bicycle manufacturer to its evolution under the Rootes Group in the 1950s.

The cars being displayed on their stand include:

1.    1920s Singer (TBC),
2.    1930s Singer Le Mans,
3.    1949 Singer Roadster 4A,
4.    1962 Singer Vogue.

Also on the stand will be at least two classic Singer bicycles, a ladies “Singer Special” and a tricycle.

Marking their first ever appearance at the NEC, the Wolseley Hornet Special Club celebrates 75 years of preserving and enjoying these remarkable cars.

The stand will showcase four different expressions of coachbuilding artistry, all sharing the same Wolseley Hornet underpinnings.

The cars being displayed on their stand include:

1.    1935 Seber-bodied, supercharged Wolseley Hornet Special race car,
2.    1934 Eustace Watkins Daytona 4-seater Wolseley Hornet Special,
3.    1932 Swallow-bodied Hornet Sports,
4.    1935 Whittingham & Mitchell Wolseley Hornet Special Drophead.

Each car demonstrates how coachbuilders of the 1930s created unique interpretations of the same chassis, from elegant tourers to agile racers, proof that the Wolseley Hornet offered the best of both worlds: individual coachwork with common engineering excellence.

The stand’s design will reflect this theme, celebrating the diversity, craftsmanship and competition spirit that have defined the Wolseley Hornet Special for nearly a century.

Leading the line-up is a 1957 Volvo P1900, one of only 68 ever built and the rarest production model built by the Volvo Car Corporation.

This fibreglass bodied two-seater is believed to have originally been registered in California to none other than Johnny Weissmuller, better known as Tarzan in the classic films. It’s the only P1900 currently residing in the UK, and the first to ever be owned and registered here.

The last time a P1900 was displayed in the UK was many years ago, when Volvo Car Corporation loaned one from their museum.

Joining the P1900 on the stand will be a Volvo 1800S Convertible from the 1960s, followed by three versions of the Volvo C70, the original soft-top model, plus two Mk2 hardtop convertibles, showcasing both the early and facelift designs.

1.    Bristol 450 Replica,
2.    Bristol 411,
3.    Bristol 412.

Alongside factory drawings of the 412 and a 12-port cylinder head from the racing 450, highlighting the engineering excellence that defines Bristol.

The Bristol 450 replica is a replica of the successful 1950s Bristol 450 Le Mans sports car, a vehicle notable for its class wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1954 and 1955.

Most famous are the three-wheeler Bond Minicars, but the same factory produced the sporty four-wheeled Bond Equipes, a range of scooters, and even some water craft.

Visitors are welcome to sit in or on the cars, explore the variety from humble shopping cars to full-on race machines.

Founded in 1901 as a bike club, cars were soon allowed to take part & thus history was set.

As usual, the FBHVC will display unique vehicles, which you won’t see anywhere else in the show, showcasing the varied sectors that the Federation represents, from motorcycles to trucks and buses to cars…

FSCC is a small club of some 240 members, for sports cars built from the 1950’s onwards. They cater for Fairthorpes, Turners, Rochdales, Tornados, Ashleys and other marques, which also includes Historic Specials.

The Rochdale Olympic pictured above was displayed on the FSCC stand at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2024.

There will be four cars on the Gilbern Owners Club Stand at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2025.

1.   1964 GT – Ex-vet’s car, raced in the ’60s and featured in Veterinary News!
2.   1968 Genie – Ford V6 swapped for a Mercedes Cosworth engine, now rallying and hill climbing.
3.   1971 Invader Mk2 Estate – The only estate built, rescued in 2020 after ferns grew through it.
4.   Invader Mk4 ‘Princess’ – One-off police prototype, completed by its owner – truly unique.

Among the newcomers, visiting the show for the first time are the Ford Escort Mk2 RS1800 enthusiasts club, showcasing one of rallying’s most iconic cars, and the Post Office Vehicle Club, which offers a nostalgic journey into the history of utility vehicles.

Other vehicle clubs include the Triumph Razoredge Owners Club and the Shenstone & District Car Club which manage the Curborough Sprint Course.
