The next Classic Car Auctions (CCA) sale at the NEC will see twenty-one Fast Fords, ranging from Escorts to Capris to Fiestas to Sierras, go under the hammer. Highlights at the CCA Practical Classics Classic Car & Restoration Show Sale include a pair of highly collectible and exemplary 1987 Sierra RS Cosworths. A completely original 3-door example reading just 26,000 miles and a freshly restored ‘Concours condition’ are among the finest examples ever consigned by the auction house, estimated at £45,000 to £50,000 and £45,000 to £55,000 respectively. |

Among the lot list of over 160 cars for sale, Classic Car Auctions (CCA) will be offering a number of classics rarely seen on today’s roads, which will offer buyers the chance to own highly collectible, low production or last remaining survivors from their favourite manufactures. An early, right-hand drive 1951 Lancia Aurelia B10 Berlina is believed to be the only example of its kind in the UK. Originally sold in Australia, the car was imported to the UK in 2015 and gradually restored and upgraded over the years. Estimated at £18,000 to £20,000, it is even eligible for the Mille Miglia. |

Footman James – Vintage adventures celebrated |

One of the UK’s leading classic car insurance brokers has announced that it will be celebrating the reasons for restoring by displaying a restored 1934 Mark II Aston Martin at the NEC Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration show. Footman James will be paying homage to all those enthusiasts who restore vintage and classic vehicles. The restored Mark II Aston Martin affectionately known as ‘Jezabel’ will be on the Footman James stand at this year’s show from Friday 31st March- Sunday 2nd April 2017. First registered on the 8th June 1934, Jezabel has a whole lot of history behind the wheel; from Concours gold, racing trophies, to being the proud winner of the Johore Singapore Vintage Grand Prix in 1962. |

The West Berks Classic Vehicle Club will showcase its ongoing project at this year’s Practical Classics Classic Car and restoration Show, with Discovery. The Club plans to not only build a competitive hill-climb and sprint car, but also the trailer to tow it and the van to pull the trailer as race transport. The car is a 1930s single seat Austin 7 racer while the van is a 1972 Austin Morris J4. The club has quite some work to do finishing the re-build of the period custom trailer and stripping the race car ready for some bodywork and brake upgrades.
