Rare Saab 92 prototype makes UK debut |

A rare Saab 92 prototype, one of three surviving examples left in the world, will make its UK debut at the Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration Show, with Discovery, at Birmingham’s NEC from 23-25 March. Chassis number 009, one of just 20 prototypes originally manufactured just after 1945 and registered for sale in 1949, will be on display alongside two other rare 92 models, both barn finds. The other two surviving prototype remain in Sweden, 92001 in the Saab museum and 92003 with a private collector. Baroness Jean Denton’s lost marathon MGB restored |

An iconic rally MGB that contested the 1968 London to Sydney Marathon is to return to the limelight after 50 years thanks to the efforts of volunteers from the MG Car Club’s MGB Register. Rescued from a scrapyard, the restored car will be unveiled on the MGCC stand at 11am during the opening day of the Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration Show at Birmingham’s NEC on 23rd March. First Finalists in Spring Pride Revealed |

The first finalists who will be looking to win the hearts and votes of visitors in the Lancaster Insurance Pride of Ownership competition have been confirmed – and amongst this fantastic mix of cars is a Doris and a Patsy! ‘Doris’ is an Austin Healey Frog Eye Sprite owned by Tracy Smith while ‘Patsy’ is Steven Horne’s VW MK2 Golf 1.8GL. Both of these vehicles have undergone a restoration in recent times. |
