‘Gerald’ the Fiat Topolino is a 1936 prototype built in a disused cinema in Hammersmith, London which the Fiat Motor Company had taken over the previous year, and was first registered for the road in 1938. An assembly plant was established in the cinema and 400 right hand cars were built before World War 2 broke out and production ceased. |

Over and above provenance, you can tell this is one of three prototype cars built because of the rear windows and the occasional rear seat. All left hand drive the 400 right hand drive production cars were only ever produced as two seat cars, without the rear windows. |
