The Hepworth FF – A Hill Climb Legend Returns to Racing The Hepworth FF, otherwise known as the ‘Guyson Sandblaster Special’ is a unique four-wheel-drive single seater special conceived and built by David Hepworth. Based on a Brabham BT19 Formula One chassis it was powered by a 5-litre Chevrolet V8 and employed a Ferguson four-wheel drive system. Effectively a Formula 5000 with 4 wheel drive. |

David Hepworth was the first driver to break 30 seconds at Shelsley Walsh in the Hepworth FF on the 13th June 1971 recording 29.92 seconds. He improved that time two months later with a time of 29.64 seconds, the same year he won the British Hill Climb Championship, adding to his 1969 title win. |
