Race Retro to pay tribute to racing legend Dan Gurney

Race Retro, powered by Motor Sport will pay tribute to the late great Dan Gurney at this year’s show, held at Warwickshire’s Stoneleigh Park from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 February, with the last Formula One car Gurney raced on display – the McLaren M14A.

American racing driver Dan Gurney, who died in January at the age of 86, won four Grands Prix including the 1967 Belgian Grand Prix behind the wheel of his own car, the Eagle-Westlake T1G, which he entered under his Anglo American Racers banner. Click Here to read more…..

Connaught celebrates 70 years at Race Retro

The celebrations start right in the entrance hall at Race Retro, powered by Motor Sport, as visitors will be welcomed to Warwickshire’s Stoneleigh Park by a 1948 Connaught, the car that started the manufacturer on the road that would bring them a Grand Prix win some 70 years ago.

Held from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 February, the Connaught made its debut at Poole Speed Trials, built for Kenneth McAlpine, and then went to Prescott in 1949, winning the up to 3litre Sports Car Class. Click Here to read more…..
